PRODUCTION ROLES
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Appropriate dress is similar standard
to musicians or singers that are on stage.
2. Be sure to participate in the service
as much as possible.
3. Whatever your role, take an attitude
of responsibility and ownership.
4. Call times are 15mins prior to band
call time.
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Oversee all areas of production related
to the service. Ensures everything possible
is done to allow the service to be the
best it possibly can.
FRONT OF HOUSE AUDIO ENGINEER
1. Oversee FOH mix and train FOH assistant.
2. At end of shift ensure the system is
packed away properly (Radio mics, power
off, covers on consoles, etc).
3. Take responsibility for technical aspects
of the services.
4. Note any problems or damage in the
fault book and report to Technical Director.
FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT
1. Comms operation.
2. Blocking notes required by FOH for
services.
3. Learn mixing skills from FOH engineer.
4. Initial console setup.
5. CD pre & post service playback,
church news preset lighting, etc.
6. Pack up FOH system at end of morning
and evening services.
FOLD BACK ENGINEER
1. Oversee all foldback mixes and train
FB assistant.
2. Patch any necessary changes on stage
for additional requirements and advise
FOH operator.
3. Ensure all Radio Mic checks are carried
out.
4. Assist Stage Manager in handling of
Radio mics and lectern etc.
5. Ensure pack up is completed after services
(Radio mics, power off, covers on, ready
to use FB from FOH console, etc).
6. Liase with FOH regarding stage level.
7. Maintain constant focus on Worship
Leader, Music Director & musician/vocal
requirements during the service.
FOLD BACK ASSISTANT
1. Comms operation.
2. Assist with patch changes on stage.
3. Ensure all batteries are fresh for
Radio mics, in-ears etc ready for services.
4. Perform on stage mic/line checks.
5. Blocking notes for any mix adjustments.
6. Remove any mics not required for services.
7. Reset stage at end of service.
8 . Pack up Fold back system ready for
next service.
9 . Assist with distribution of in ear
monitoring equipment and battery changes.
LIGHTING ENGINEER
1. Turn on all lights.
2. Operate lights
3 . Ensure all lamps are working at conclusion
of service.
5. Ensure lights are turned off at conclusion
of service.
STAGE MANAGER
1. Oversee stage presentation (vacuum
and tidy as required).
2. Clean lectern and drum screen.
3. Provide water for Pastors and Worship
Leader.
4. Remind musicians to remove paper and
coil leads when leaving stage.
5. Remind musicians when to leave green
room for stage.
6. Provide all run sheets and music as
required.
7. Co-ordinate all Radio mics on and off
stage.
8. Co-ordinate lectern on and off stage.
9. Ensure stage is ready for next service.
10. Any other duties as required on stage
by the Technical Director.
11. Advise all production roles of changes
to running order.
12. Call all radio mics on and off stage
during the service.
13. Ensure all pastors, musicians &
singers are on & off stage as required
by the run sheet.
